Services
Free
This involves a meeting with prospective clients to discuss proposals, investigate any planning or other conditions that may be applicable after which we will provide a fee proposal outlining the brief. At this stage we would look to advise clients on any other professionals such as ecologists, flood risk specialists, structural engineers etc that may be required throughout the project.
Following a successful initial consultation we will carry out a measured survey tailored to suit each individual project.
After which clear, accurate and concise drawings are produced which will enable the base for development of the scheme.
Measured Survey
Taking on board the clients brief, initial scheme drawings will be produced for discussion with clients and hopefully enable them to visualise their project before progressing to any planning or building regulation stage.
Concept Designs
Production of a formal set of planning drawings and documentation that along with any specialists information will form the planning application package. Liaising with the planning department is maintained through the application stage whilst keeping clients fully informed of all progress.
Planning
Building Regulations
Fully detailed technical drawings will be produced including fully dimensioned plans, sections & elevations that will have general construction information, drainage layouts and measurements. Along with any other necessary information such as structural engineers, energy consultants etc the building regulation application will be submitted on your behalf.
If required we can provide additional information such as a schedule of works, electrical layout drawings, door, window and finishes schedules.
This would aid in obtaining accurate costings from potential builders.
Starting at a Norwich based architectural practice in 1983, my career has included spells within local authority sectors and North Norfolk based architectural practices. During this period I have been involved in many different projects including, small residential alterations and extensions, public and private sector new housing schemes, sheltered housing developments, ecclesiastical schemes and varied commercial projects ranging from new public toilet facilities to multi million pound spa centres.
An associate member of CIAT, 40 years of experience has provided me with a varied skill set and good understanding of the construction industry with good relationships with building control, planning, local contractors and various consultants such as structural engineers and ecologists.
I am passionate about providing high quality designs and drawing packages that clients and contractors appreciate.
Outside of work, I have always been a keen sportsperson. Sadly, my time playing football and cricket are behind me, but on weekends I can be found at Royal Cromer Golf Club trying to perfect my game.
I enjoy many other activities, and am the proud owner of a 1967 VW Beetle and 1979 VW campervan, that along with my wife Darryl and dog Charlie see us enjoying many weekends away.
Born and bred in Sheringham I have a keen interest in the history of the town. I am proud of my heritage and have had an active involvement in the community as a former member of Round Table and a volunteer at the Little Theatre.
